Rodolfo Escobedo, age 42 of Purcell passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 in a truck accident in Chickasha, Okla.
He was born December 1, 1972 in El Municipio Nombre de Dios, Durango, Mexico to Enrique Escobedo and Marta Alamos Escobedo. Rodolfo grew up in Mexico and at age 25 moved to Purcell, Okla to live with his aunt. He began attending Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Purcell where he was active in the church choir. He later began working on starting a Spanish speaking Mass along with a young lady, Maria Chavez. They fell in love and were married June 3rd, 2000. After they were married Rodolfo earned his GED, and citizenship. His lifelong dream of becoming a truck driver was fulfilled when he achieved his truck drivers license. For almost 8 years he has driven a truck for Plains All America which is an oil and gas transportation company in Okla City. The most important aspect of Rodolfo’s life was his love for God. He loved reading the Bible, and listening to Christian music. He also loved his wife and his 3 children. For fun Escobedo enjoyed telling jokes and making people laugh.
