Troyce Udell Edwards died July 17, 2015 in Oklahoma City at the age of 84 years 3 months 16 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church in Purcell.
Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery under the care of Wadley’s Funeral
Service.
Troyce was born March 31, 1931 to Johnie Dewitt and Verdie Ocean (Colter)
Edwards in Redlake, New Mexico. Troyce was raised in Lexington until the age of
10, when the family moved to Arkansas. He worked as a Cattle Rancher for many
years. Troyce moved back to the area and has lived in Lexington for the last 30
years. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, as well as playing Dominoes.
Troyce is proceeded in death by his parents, Johnie and Verdie Edwards; sister,
Winona Edwards; brothers, Ovis Edwards, Ed Edwards, Leon Edwards, and Bill
Edwards.
Survivors include his daughter, Marilyn Sims-Whitfield of Carr,
Colorado; son, Roy Edwards of Ft. Collins, Colorado; grandsons, Justin Edwards
of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and Chad Sims of Carr, Colorado; great grandchildren, MacKenzey, Haylin, Tyler, Wyatt, and Alexis; sister, Arveda Rollins of
Lexington, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
