WILSON-LITTLE FUNERAL
HOME
Jewel Dunn, age
87 of Purcell,
passed away
Friday, June 20,
2014. Jewel
Evelyn Orr was
born August 20,
1926 in
Maysville, OK, 1
of 9 children
born to John P.
Orr and Ada
(Evans) Orr. She
was raised in
Maysville and
attended school
there. On
January 9, 1945,
Jewel married
the love of her
life; a young
service man who
had just
returned home,
named J.R. Dunn.
They made their
home in the
Maysville and
Wayne area where
together they
raised their
only child, son,
Brad. For many
years, Jewel and
J.R. owned and
operated a
self-service
Laundromat and
she later worked
at the Purcell
Hospital. Her
greatest joy,
however, was
being a
homemaker, and
Jewel worked
tirelessly
caring and
providing for
her family. She
was a faithful
member of the
Wayne Church of
Christ for many
years. She will
be greatly
missed by all
who knew her.
