Cordelia Juanita “Chee Chee” Dover, age 60 of Oklahoma City, OK formerly of Purcell, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, September 24, 2017.
She was born May 29, 1957 in Purcell, Oklahoma. Her parents were James Franklin Green and Juanita (Atchley) Green. Chee Chee father passed away when she was young and she was raised by her mother and step-father Clarence Box. Chee Chee grew up in Purcell and attended Purcell schools. She got married while in high school to Dennis James Dover. They were married on January 12, 1973 in Purcell, OK. Chee Chee and Dennis lived most of their lives in Oklahoma City. She was a homemaker and worked a number of years outside of the home for What A Burger Corporation as an office manager. Chee Chee never had any children, only one niece and three nephews, so she treated them as if they were her own children. Over the years she and Dennis enjoyed traveling especially to New York, Chicago and Washington, DC. She also loved traveling to the tropics. She always had a love for her dogs, she was an avid O. U. sports fan and most recently a big OKC Thunder Fan. She will be greatly missed by her family and Dennis’s family.
She was preceded in death by: Father, James Green; Mother and Step-father, Juanita and Clarence Box; Brother, Haskell “Buddy” Green; Aunt, Lee Garcia; Three step-sisters, Vickie Box, Gayle Ball and Linda Hitch; One step-brother, Jerry Box;
She is survived by: Husband of 44 years, Dennis Dover of the home in OKC; Niece, Tracy Larsen and husband Cory of Cambridge, IL. Three nephews, Josh Green and wife Tiffany of Moline, IL, Caleb Green and wife Liz of Moline, IL, Darrett Sanders of Los Angeles, CA.; Three step-sisters, Nancy Keith, JoAnne McCurley and Donna Box; Nine sisters and brothers-in-law: Doris and Albert Andrews, Joyce and James Henderson, Wayne Dover, Mildred Nugent, Thomas and Carol Dover, Jessie and Janette Dover, Rita and Rick Landers, Kathy Dover and Lee and Monika Dover. Also many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 29, 2017 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Purcell, OK.
Interment will be at
the Hillside Cemetery in Purcell
