Sue Dickerson, age 74 of Purcell, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the Lexington Nursing Home.

Loretta Sue Dickerson was born December 25, 1942 in Wanette, OK, the 2nd of 10 children born to Harold and Celestia Adelia (Reynolds) Caskey. She was raised in Wanette and attended school there, graduating in 1960. On January 15, 1965, she married Billy Jewel Dickerson in Cape Coral, FL. They settled in Purcell in 1977 where together they raised their only son, David. Sue cherished her family, and worked tirelessly as a homemaker, caring for Billy and David. She loved decorating and traveling to Florida. For more than 20 years, her and Billy spent months at a time during the year there. She was a dedicated grandmother and traveled many miles watching her granddaughters and great grandchildren to support their teams. She was a wonderful wife and mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her son, David Dickerson in 2013; Parents, Harold and Celestia Caskey and Sister, Patty Ann Caskey.

Sue leaves behind: Her loving husband, Bill of the home; Step son, Bill Dickerson Jr. and wife Naova of Cincinnati, OH; Daughter-in-law, Diane Dickerson of Purcell; 5 sisters, Mary Pitts of Norman, Alice Sweetin and husband Bill of Ada, Linda Davis of Valdosta, GA, Jane Melot of Noble and Kathy Starkey and husband Kenneth of Norman; 3 brothers, Harold W. Cakey and wife Gayle of Lexington, Billy Bob Caskey and wife Nala of Wanette and Leon Caskey of Purcell; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
