Paul Ray Davis age 79 of Madill, formerly of OKC, passed away peacefully at his home on Jan. 1, 2018.
Paul was born May 25, 1938 in Byars, Oklahoma. He was the 6th child of eight children born to Elmer Hood Davis and Mary Ruby (Warren) Davis. Paul grew up in the country near Byars, Oklahoma and attended Byars schools. As a young boy he learned the value of hard work by working in the cotton and broomcorn fields. At the age of 16, and during his 10th grade, he married the love of his life, Carmon Freeman on March 26, 1955. They made their home in the Oklahoma City and Choctaw area for the next 40 years. Together Paul and Carmon raised three children, Tim, Mark and Cherryl. Paul worked at Tinker AFB and retired as a supervisor after 30 years of dedicated service. Because of his passion for fishing, in 1993, he and Carmon moved to Madill, so they could fish every day at Lake Texoma. Throughout his life he has enjoyed hunting and fishing.
