Dewayne Clifton, age 51 of Wayne, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Alton Dewayne Clifton was born July 31, 1962 in Pauls Valley, OK, the oldest of 5 children born to Floyd Alton Clifton and Jacquelyn Joyce (Lee) Clifton. He was raised in Wayne and attended Wayne Schools, graduating in 1980. Dewayne married his best friend and true love, Marina Jean Ward, on June 21, 1985 in Purcell. They made their home in Wayne where together they raised 4 children; son, Cody and daughters, Chelsea, Chloe and Caleigh. For the past 19 years, Dewayne has worked for O G & E and was currently a Substation Maintenance Foreman. Dewayne was a hard worker and a great provider. When not at work, he spent his time with his family and friends. He enjoyed farming and ranching. He looked forward to any opportunity to bird hunt with his friends, Cody and Chelsea. He loved coaching his son and daughters when they were young. Dewayne was an avid sports fan and a huge softball fan. He spent countless hours, watching and cheering on his daughters. He was proud of the man his son has become and his musical talent. He was his children's biggest fan! Dewayne was a family man first. He cherished Marina and his children. He was a wonderful husband and father, son, brother, uncle and a true friend. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by: His father, Alton Clifton and Grandparents, Floyd and Vida Clifton and Jasper and Beulah Lee.

Dewayne leaves behind: His wife, Marina of the home; Children, Son, Cody Clifton of Norman and Daughters, Chelsea, Chloe and Caleigh, all of Wayne; His mother, Joyce Clifton of Wayne; Brother, Ron Clifton and wife Robin of Stratford, Mike Clifton and wife Wendy of Purcell and Daniel Clifton of Oklahoma City; Sister, Terri Clifton of Pueblo, CO; Several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Purcell. Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home.
