Irene Chadwick, age 97 of Purcell, passed away December 28, 2020 in North Richland Hills, Texas. Irene Mary Osika was born February 19, 1923 in Chicago, IL, the youngest of 9 children born to Stanley and Julia Ann (Zawalinski) Osika. She was raised in Chicago and attended school there. A true Cubs fan, Irene as a young girl would skip school to watch her beloved team, and this love continued throughout her life. Introduced by a neighbor, Irene met a young man named Loyd Chadwick. It was love at first sight, and the happy couple married in 1964. They returned back home to Oklahoma, settling in Purcell. Irene was the proud mother of 3 children, son Bill, and daughters, Carol and Diane. She worked tirelessly as a homemaker, caring and providing for her family. She had a soft heart for stray animals, and fed thousands throughout the years. She was a woman of great faith and a longtime member of the Purcell Pentecostal Holiness Church. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Loyd Chadwick; parents, Stanley and Julia Osika; three brothers, Boris Rybicki, Casmir Osika and Walter Osika and 5 sisters, Mildred Oskia, Victoria Relinski, Estelle Croak, Mamie Ryoaviak and Harriette Pagorek.

Irene is survived by: her son, Bill Chadwick of Holdenville, OK; daughters, Carol Martell of Grand Prairie, TX and Diane Malloy and husband Lambert of San Jose, CA; 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell. The service will be livestreamed on our Facebook page, Wilson Little.
