Doris F. Cavnar age 73 of Newalla, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, September 5, 2013. She was born on December 23, 1939 in Berino, New Mexico. She was the 2nd child of four children born to Richard Henry Harper and Vada Bell (Griffith). Doris grew up in New Mexico and graduated from Gadsden High School in Anthony, New Mexico in 1957. She later met and married the love of her life, Willis Gene Cavnar, a young man from Jones, Oklahoma. In 1995 they moved to Pawhuska, OK and lived there 17 years before moving back to Newalla in November of 2012. Doris worked as a homemaker all of her life. She was a wonderful wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a special sister and a dear friend. Doris will be remembered as a loving and giving person who had a God given gift of encouraging others. If Doris were here today, her message to everyone would be to convey the simple, yet profound message of the “Love of God”. That God is a good God, He loves you and he wants good things for you.
