Brook Marie Carpenter died September 25, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 30 years 5 months 5 days, after a brief battle with Leukemia. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, September 30, 2022, at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Brook was born April 20, 1992, with her twin, John to Dick and Linda McAlpin. She was raised in Red Oak, Iowa, graduating in 2010. Brook later moved to Norman, Oklahoma where she met her fiancé, Benny Ruiz. They enjoyed going to OU games together, spending time with friends, playing pool, and riding horses. Brook continued her education at Mid-America Vo-Tech earning her certification and ultimately being licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician. She worked for Wadley’s EMS in Purcell. Brook and Benny shared the joy of bringing Bennett Lane into this world, giving Brook her greatest joy of being a mom.
Brook is preceded in death by her mother, Linda McAlpin; her sister, Kris Esaias; and her grandparents, Mary and Lowell Rucker.
Survivors include her fiancé, Benny Ruiz; her son, Bennett Lane Ruiz, both of Norman; her family, Dick McAlpin and significant other, Marsha Larson of Red Oak, IA, Kory Pierson of Stroud, OK, Kim King of Seward, NE; VJ Baker of Kansas; Kayla and Corey Engquist of Gretha, NE, Chantel King of Denver, CO, John McAlpin of Red Oak, IA, Cache Pierson and Colt Pierson of Covington, OK, and numerous other relatives and friends.
