Nola Fay Bryen age 78, of Purcell went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2016 in Norman, OK. She was born on March 12, 1938 in Purcell, OK. She was the 3rd child of four children born to James Leonard Jackson and Hazel Marie (Cypert) Jackson. Nola Fay grew up in Purcell and graduated from Purcell High School with the class of 1956. While in high school she married the love of her life, Leonard Junior Bryen on December 23 1954 in a double wedding with Junior’s brother. Together Nola Fay and Leonard raised four children, Jimmy, Denise, Debbie and Jeff. While Leonard made a life career in the U.S. Army, Nola Fay first lived at home while he was in Germany. When Leonard returned home to the states, they lived in various towns and different states, where ever he was stationed. They lived in Ft. Carson, CO. for four years, Lawton for five years, Ft. Campbell, KY one year, back to Lawton for another six years. After retiring in 1975 they moved back to Purcell and Lexington area. In 1980 Nola Fay went to work at LARC and the State Dept. of Corrections as a Secretary. During this time she was awarded numerous awards including, woman of the year and employee of the year. She retired in 2000. Nola Fay was a faithful Christian and longtime member of the Purcell First Baptist Church. In years past she enjoyed singing in the choir and helping in the church cloth closet. Throughout her life she enjoyed going to the lake, camping and fishing. For many years she enjoyed bowling in a bowling league and playing bridge in a bridge club. She was a wonderful cook, she did baking and cake decorating, and she liked to paint. Most of all she loved babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: Parents, Leonard and Hazel Jackson; Brother-in-law, Bob Humeston; Sister, Helen Gray; Grandson, Jake Bryen; Granddaughter, Tiffany Lynn Bryen;

She is survived by: Husband, Leonard Junior Bryen of Purcell; Two Daughters, Denise Whitehead and husband Phil of Purcell, Debbie Lynn Bryen of Purcell, Two sons, Jim Bryen and wife Amy of Lexington, Jeff Bryen and wife Shelly of Allen, OK. One sister, Noni Humeston of Purcell, One brother, Howard Jackson and wife Linda of Fernley, NV; One brother-in-law, Richard Gray of Purcell; 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Purcell. Interment will be at the Hillside Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell. Send online condolences @wilsonlittle.com
