Fannie Mae Brewer,
age 94 of Purcell died peacefully in her sleep Sunday,, December 16, 2018.
Fannie was born September 14, 1924 in Cisco, Texas, the youngest of 7
children born to John W.B. Rogers and Etta Ivie Rogers. She grew up in
Clyde, Tx where she graduated High School. She then moved to Brownwood, Tx
where she attended Howard Payne College for 3 years. While in college she
worked in a local jewelry store. She also was an assistant manager for an
Army Supply store during WWII that was near Camp Bowie, where she altered
uniforms for the enlisted men. While in college she met Randall Ewell Brewer
at a friend’s wedding and they were later married on May 11, 1948. For the
majority of her life she worked for CPA firms as an accountant. When they
were first married they lived in Brownwood, TX. Because of Randall’s job
with the phone company, they were transferred to Fredrick, Oklahoma where
their daughter Bobbie was born. He was later transferred to Purcell where
their son, John was born. They later moved back to Brownwood where Randall
finished his career. In 2004 they moved back to Purcell to be close to
their daughter. . At the age of 14, Fannie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord
and Savior. Fannie and Randall were always active members of the First
Baptist Church in the towns where they lived. Randall was a deacon and for
many years Fannie taught the Beginners Sunday School class. She was
currently a member of the Purcell First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by:

Daughter: Bobbie Calvert & husband Bob of Purcell
Daughter-In-Law: Robyn Brewer of Richardson, TX
4 Grandchildren: Jenny Denny & husband Will of Norman
Sara Caspers & husband Casey of Norman
Erin Brewer of Dallas
Jackie Brewer of Richardson, Tx
4 Great Grandchildren: Kate & Claire Denny
Blake & Luke Caspers
Funeral services will 2 PM Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Wilson Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell.
Burial will be at the Hillside Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Lottie Moon Missions Fund or Samaritans Purse.
