Rhonda Kay Bloodworth age 66 of Purcell, went home to be with her Lord, Thursday, November 24, 2016 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born April 2, 1950 in Purcell. The younger of two children born to Jack Blackwell and Geraldine (Lockmiller) Blackwell. Rhonda grew up west of Purcell and attended Wayne schools, graduating with the class of 1968. She later married the love of her life Charles Bloodworth, they were married on Feb. 7, 1970 and together they raised two sons, Scott and Shawn. Rhonda also was proud to help raise her nieces, Michelle and Sherry, and great nieces, April, Kristi and Lucy. She dedicated her life to being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and daughter. She supported them in all of the school activities, from 4-H projects, FFA events and baseball games. For over 20 years Rhonda was a business co-owner with her brother and mother at “Jackie’s Jackets”. She also took part in running the family farm and for the past 12 years she had worked at the Purcell Walmart. Rhonda was a faithful Christian and lifelong member of Union Hill Baptist Church, west of Purcell.
She was preceded in death by: Grandparents, Omer and Lucy Lockmiller, Father, Jack Blackwell, Brother and sister-in-law, Jackie and Betty Blackwell.
She is survived by: Her best friend, her mother, Geraldine Blackwell of Purcell; Her husband, Charles Bloodworth of the home; Two sons; Scott Bloodworth and wife Jennifer of Purcell, Shawn Bloodworth and wife Lori of Purcell. Two nieces, Sherry Kraus and husband Steve of Purcell and Michelle Lynch and husband Tony of Purcell; Six grandchildren, Caleb, Bryon, Abbi, Tanner, Tucker and Trevor; Also many other relatives and a host of friends,
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday, Nov. 28, 2016 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell.
Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
