Josephus Edward Barrow died of a heart attach Sunday eve at home on Washington Street on April 15, 1906 at 59 years and 8 months.
Mr. Barrows was born in Chambers Co., Ala on July 28, 1846. In his 12th year he moved with his family to Louisiana.
He joined the Confederate service as a courier.
He married December 14 1871 to Miss Sallie Brown. They had 5 children, the oldest dying in infancy. They lived in Grayson Co. Texas in 1880.
They family came to Indian Territory in 1881, settling on Dave Mays ranch and farmed on the Washita.
