O . D . was born Sept. 5, 1932, to Otto Douglas Adams Sr. and Anna Rosalee (Harris) Adams in Port Arthur, Texas. He had lived in Purcell for the past 30 years coming from Beaumont, Texas. He was raised at Port Arthur and Evadale, Texas graduating from school at Silsbee, Texas. He received an associate degree at the LeMar College Apprentice School in construction. On March 22, 1951 O . D . and Jean Brewer were united in marriage in Rockwall, Texas. He was a pipefitter working pipline until his retirement in 1993. O . D . was a member of the Pipeline Local Union 798 of Tulsa. He loved horses, tinkering, watching Westerns and was of the Baptist faith.

Misty Adams of
Crosby, Texas, Ashley Shields and Chance of Mason and Chance

Adams of Crosby;
cousin Gilbert Adams
and Marilyn of Beaumont; and nephew Larry Tarkington of Nederland,
Texas.
