Glen Harold Wood was born in Cox City, Oklahoma on June 27, 1932 to Earnest F. Wood and Florence E. Wood. He was baptized and dedicated his life to the Lord in 1967. There was nothing more important to him than gathering with or keeping in touch through a quick call with family and friends. He traveled working the pipeline early in his career but settled into building his company, Glen Oil Field Welding, while living in Woodward, OK with his family. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War as a combat medic. Glen was a resident of Oklahoma City, OK, and it was there that he passed from this life at his home on December 15, 2014 at the age of 82.

Glen is survived by three daughters, D’Anna Boone of Moore, Oklahoma, Connie Mairs and husband Mike of Edmond and Laura Parker and husband Robert of Oklahoma City, seven grandchildren: Brett Boone, Bradley Boone, Megan Mairs, Micah Mairs, Chris Parker, Sean Parker and Keith Parker and one great-grandson, Carter Mairs. Glen had seven siblings of which he is survived by three: Erna Mae Tannehill, Betty Coffee and Catherine Martin. His life was also blessed with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest F. Wood and Florence E. Wood. Siblings, Clyde L. Wood, Carl F. Wood, Mary Ruth Delay, Johnny R. Wood and one great-grandson, Gatlin Parker.

Funeral services for Mr. Wood are set for two o’clock p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Cox City Baptist Church in Cox City, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of B. G. Boydston Funeral Home of Lindsay, Oklahoma.
