Alene Mayfield was born May 23, 1924 in Purdy, OK. Her parents were Luther Monroe Mayfield and Elizabeth “Babe” Ramming. Alene married “Tince” Cameron and together they raised 3 sons, Jerry, Harvey and William. She worked tirelessly as a homemaker, caring and providing for her family. Alene later married Clarence “C.W.” Wade, and they made their home in Purcell.
She was preceded in death by: Her Parents, Luther and Elizabeth Mayfield, 1st husband, "Tince" Cameron, 2nd husband, C.W. Wade, Brother, "Duke" Mayfield, 2 Sisters, Twin, Irene Tucker and Dorothy Echols, 2 Sons, Jerry D. Cameron and Harvey L. Cameron.
She is survived by: Son, William "Bill" Cameron of Conroe, TX. 3 granddaughters, Laura Cameron McCann and husband Efrain Hernandez of Katy, TX, Stephanie Vaught and husband Brann Vaught Sr. of Conroe, TX and Tamera A. Childers of Tulsa, OK; 8 Great grandchildren, Ashley McCann and fiancé Justin Javier of Spring, Amber McCann of Baton Rouge, LA, Nicholas Hernandez of Katy, TX, Brittany Stevenson Vaught of The Woodlands, TX, Brooke Vaught and Brann Vaught Jr. of Conroe, TX Kristin Rosamond and Megan LaBlue, both of Tulsa; Great great grandchildren, Aubrey McCann and Mason Shirley of Spring, TX, and Connor Rosamond and Austin Rosamond of Tulsa, OK; Other Grandsons, Mikey, David and Ricky; A very special niece, Shirley Clark-Cowdin who took wonderful care of her aunt over these last few years and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
