Genevieve was born the daughter of Harry Harvey Arnold and Lottie Gertrude Williams Arnold at Lexington, Oklahoma. During her childhood she lived with her family at various locations in Oklahoma and Texas.

Most of Genevieve's married life was spent with the pipeline community, living in a trailer and adjusting to life in three to four cities each year.
In the 1960's Chickasha became home. Genevieve, Weedie, Nana, Aunt Genny, was a homemaker extraordinaire and sought to make life wonderful for the people around her no matter where she had to “hang her hat”.
