Danna Anna (Hightower) Blanton, 79, of Newcastle, Oklahoma passed away on February 20, 2023, in Norman, Oklahoma.
The daughter of Garland Estes Hightower and Heloise (Hatfield) Hightower, she was born on September 12, 1943, in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
Danna married the love of her life, Bob Blanton, on July 4, 1963, in Lindsay. They were married for 58 beautiful years until Bob’s passing in May of 2022. Danna adored her family and especially loved being a nana to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed attending every sporting event for her own children growing up, and for her grandchildren. Danna was a member of the Red Hatters Group. She had an ornery side and loved to tease. Danna also enjoyed music and could often be found singing. She also loved Mexican food, but absolutely hated chicken. Danna will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Blanton; two brothers, Bill Hightower and Terry Hightower; and two sisters, Garlene Holland and Barbara Collier.
Danna is survived by one son, Bob Blanton and his wife, Leah, of Newcastle; one daughter, Lori Nissen and her husband, Eric, of Oklahoma City; one sister, Sylita Kessinger; five grandchildren, Courtney and husband, JT, Shelby and husband, Blake, Cory, Kevin, and Dani and husband, Josh; six great-grandchildren, Braxton, Paisley, Ellie, Titus, DJ, Shepherd; and many more loving family members and friends.
Viewing will be from 11:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M., Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Eisenhour Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 24, 2023, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
