Kimberly Carol (Henderson) Turner, 42, of Shawnee, died Sunday, December 29, 2013 in Oklahoma City. The daughter of Kenneth Price Henderson and Gwen Vance Henderson, she was born May 14, 1971 in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
She attended Dibble Public Schools from kindergarten through the 8th grade. Kimberly and her family then moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where she attended Ellicott Baptist School until her senior year. She completed and graduated from Cimarron Christian Academy in May of 1989. Kim enrolled in LPN nursing school at Mid-America VoTech in Wayne, Oklahoma and graduated at the top of her class in May 2001. She was currently employed with Golden Age Home Health in Oklahoma City but had taken a temporary leave of absence due to health problems. Kim married Robert Cole in 1991. To their union, two sons were born, Christopher Allen Cole and Nathan Andrew Cole. On January 18, 2006, Kim married Perry Turner and moved to Shawnee where she resided until her death.
Kim was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Artie and Jean Henderson and her Aunt Sissy of Dibble; her maternal grandparents, Bob and Syliva Wenholz of Dibble; her father Kenneth Price Henderson of McLoud, and her youngest brother, Joshua Ryan Watkins of Dibble.
Kim is survived by her husband, Perry Turner, of the home; her sons, Nathan Cole of the home and Christopher Cole of Alex. She was blessed with two granddaughters, Zailey Chambers and Serenity Simpkins, whom she loved dearly; other survivors include her mother, Gwen Doshier; her sister, Karla Henderson; her brothers, Kenny Henderson and John Watkins III and his wife, Amy; her step-dad, John Watkins, Jr., all of Dibble; her three nieces and five nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the Dibble Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Dibble Cemetery in Dibble, Oklahoma.
