Troy Ray Mitchum, Sr., 82, of Dibble, died April 3, 2012 in Oklahoma City. The son of Fannie (Henderson) and Claude Mitchum, he was born December 27, 1929 in Atoka, Oklahoma. Troy loved John Wayne, Marilyn Monroe, and old westerns. He was Church of Christ in faith.

Troy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dortha Mitchum; two sisters, Martha Graham and June Morrow.

Survivors include his son, Troy Mitchum, Jr. of Norman; daughters, Carlene Mitchum of Oklahoma City, and Donna Ruggiers and her husband Chris of Norman; four grandchildren, Elaine Whitman and her husband Mark of El Reno, Brandon Mitchum of Norman, Daniel Ruggiers of Norman, Alex Ruggiers of Norman; great granddaughter, Lydia Whitman; brother, Charles Vernon Mitchum and his wife Rena of Midwest City; sisters, Jean Raney and her husband Bob of Nebraska, Jane Garrett of Tuttle, Vivian Morrison of Minco, and Betty Kinder and her husband Kenneth of Minco; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Troy will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 6, 2012 in the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Buster Sides will officiate with interment held in the Dibble Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
