Ralph William “Bill” Lucas, Jr., 60, of Blanchard, died Saturday, February 15, 2014, in Oklahoma City. The son of Nellie Sue (Harding) Lucas and Ralph William Lucas, Sr., he was born November 22, 1953 in Norman, Oklahoma. Bill married Sharlene Houston on June 16, 1983 in Norman, Oklahoma. He worked for many years as a machinist and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and reading books in his spare time. Bill’s greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Donna Dillard; and three brothers, Johnny, Jimmy, and Jackie Lucas.
Bill is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sharlene Lucas of Blanchard; one daughter, Syble Ngala and Marcus Newby of Norman; two sons, Ralph William Lucas, III of Blanchard, and Aaron Hanna and wife, Jesalyn, of Lexington; six grandchildren, Junior Newby, Megan Boyd, Erin Hanna, Emily Hanna, Cheyenne Hanna, and Raiden Hanna; four sisters, Nancy Johnson and husband, Calvin, of Slaughterville, Mary Anderson and husband, Greg, of Norman, Anita Wasson of McLoud, and Barbara Lucas and Bernard Larkin of Florida; two brothers, Alan Lucas of Lexington, and Levi Lucas and wife, Betty, of Norman; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Interment will follow in the Dibble Cemetery.
