J. M. Mason

Burial rites were held February 8, 1940 at 2:30 o'clock for James Madison Mason, prominent farmer in the Dibble community. Rev. J.A. Ratliff, Washington, read the services from the graveside with Yoakum Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Mason died February 7 at his home two miles south of Dibble at the age of 58. He had made many friends in this community, his family being well known in this section of the county.

He leaves behind his wife, Madeline, and the following children: Mrs. Gertrude Alexander, Stephenville, Tex., Mrs. Georgie Wells, Oklahoma City; W. H. Mason, Lockney, Tex.; Monroe Mason of Blanchard; Mrs. Goldie Durham of Oregon; S.S. Mason of Fulsom City, Calif.; and Leon, Hebert, Dennis, Christopher, Van George, and Madison Jr., all of Purcell. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Lenderman of Blanchard and Mrs. Jay Claunch of Purcell.
