Donald Hedrick, of Dibble, passed away Thursday December 10, 2015.
Donald Wayne Hedrick was born January 14, 1936 in Binger, Oklahoma, the 4th of 5 children born to Mervin Edger Hedrick and Leavy Mae (Stokes) Hedrick. He was raised in Binger and attended Binger schools. On August 26, 1956, Donald was united in marriage with his best friend and true love, Carolyn Marie Neugent. Together they raised 3 children; daughter, Joanna and sons, Robin and Scott. They first made their home in Binger and later Oklahoma City for a few years, before settling west of Purcell in 1966. Donald worked as a heavy equipment operator for 20 years and then a superintendent for 25 years for Connelly Paving Company in OKC. After retiring in 2004, Donald with Carolyn by his side, volunteered weekly at the Food Bank for the Dibble Senior Citizens. He learned to like working in his yard and never missed an opportunity to visit with his neighbors. Donald cherished Carolyn and his family and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a Christian and a member of the Country Side Baptist Church in Dibble. He will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by: His great grandson, Ben Webb in September 2015; His parents, Mervin and Leavy Mae Hedrick and His brother, Howard Hedrick.
Donald leaves behind: His wife, Carolyn of the home; Daughter, Joanna McLemore and Gerald of Dibble; 2 sons, Robin Hedrick and LaDonna Cement, OK and Scott Hedrick and Mandy of Middleburg, OK; 3 sisters, Wanda Francis of Anadarko, Wilda Moss of Anadarko and Wilma Lopez of Binger; 7 grandchildren, Maranda Webb and Robert of Cement, Christina Thompson and Daniel of Cyril, Roby Hedrick and Abigale of Cyril, Jeremy McLemore and Samantha of Dibble, Jenna Stewart and Jason of Spring, TX, Brandon Hedrick and Kayla of Dibble and Natasha Hedrick of Norman; 10 great grandchildren, Shelby, Jenessa, Josh, Natalie, Madelyn, Hudson, Daxton, Gavin, Harper and Hixon and A host of other family and friends.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Burial will follow at the Dibble Cemetery.
