Michael Gene “Mike” Cossey, 60, of McAlester, died, Thursday, October 1,
2015, in McAlester. The son of Coy Gene Cossey and Arnita Leahoma (Roberts)
Cossey, he was born November 8, 1954, in Sacramento, California. Mike worked
for many years as a carpenter and was currently employed at Tricat, Inc. He
was a member of the National Carpenter’s Union for over 20 years and was a
Baptist in faith. In his spare time, Mike enjoyed being outdoors, hunting,
fishing, and working in his yard. His greatest enjoyment came from spending
time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Mike is survived by his wife, Libby Cossey of Krebs; one son, Denton Cossey
of Krebs; two daughters, Cortny Cossey-Delgado of California, and Carly
Cossey of Mustang; his mother, Nita Vargas of Chickasha; his father and
stepmother, Coy and Julie Cossey of Vian; one sister, Shannon Harrell of
Chickasha; four brothers, Darwin Cossey and his wife, Penny, of California,
Nathan Cossey of Norman, Billy Cossey of Dibble, and Eric Cossey and his
wife, Renee, of California; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 8, 2015, at the
Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Dibble
Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of
