Jeanne Wannell Carter, 79, of Newcastle, died Thursday, October 30, 2014, in Norman, Oklahoma. The daughter of Bill Grady Miller and Beulah Lucille Elizabeth (Horn) Miller, she was born March 29, 1935 in Healdton, Oklahoma.
She married Luther Carter on November 1, 1951 in Oklahoma City. Jeanne was a longtime member of the Newcastle First Assembly of God Church. She loved to take photographs of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Luther Carter; one sister, Georgia Hubbard; and son-in-law, Donald Mallow.
She is survived by four daughters, Pamela Battles and her husband, Mike, of Bridge Creek, Janet Rogers of Newcastle, Bobbie Mallow of Newcastle, and Norvita Carter of Newcastle; ten grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Max Miller and Bill Miller, both of Midwest City; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel of Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Dibble Cemetery.
