Hettie Bell (Burns) Bright, 73, of Dibble, died Sunday, April 26, 2015
at her home. The daughter of Jasper Riley Burns and May Bell (McCurdy)
Burns, she was born October 2, 1941 in McGehee, Arkansas.
Hettie was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed the
fellowship and many activities at the Dibble Senior Citizens Center. In
her spare time, she enjoyed collecting angels, crocheting, and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene Bright; one
granddaughter, Kelly Bright; two brothers, Jasper Burns and Tommy Burns;
and a sister, Doris Widmeyer.
Hettie is survived by two daughters, Sheila Newman of Miami, and Tina
Kochen and husband, Brad, of Colorado; two sons, Justin Newman and wife,
Gloria, of Washington state, and Carlis Newman and wife, Susan, of
Pennsylvania; her step-children, Ron Bright and wife, Tana, of Blanchard
and Susan Halstead and husband, Jimmy, of Oklahoma City; eighteen
grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; two great-great
grandchildren; and three sisters, Linda Harris of Missouri, Joanne
Forrest of Louisiana, and Susie Klines of Arkansas; and many other loved
ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 30, 2015 at
the Freewill Baptist Church in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the
Dibble Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour
