Aaron Ralph “Rusty” Wright, 63, of Chickasha, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2019, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. The son of Haskell Ralph Wright and Earlene (Peel) Wright, he was born September 9, 1955 in Okemah, Oklahoma.
Rusty was Christian in faith and attended New Home Full Gospel Church where he enjoyed listening to his son-in-law preach. Rusty spent his life raising, training, and racing horses and was known to many as a “Horse Whisperer.” In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf, bowling, playing pool, and Texas Hold’em. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Joshua Aaron Wright; two brothers, Haskell “Manny” Wright and Jesse Wright; and one sister, Brenda Wright.
Rusty is survived by one daughter, Vanessa Robison and her husband, Bill, of Blanchard; five grandchildren, Zane Wright, Sage Wright, Brayden Wright, Maddy Dorman, and Elijah Robison; five brothers, Wayne Wright, Michael Wright, Steven “Butch” Wright, J.D. “Hotshot” Wright, and Walter “PeeWee” Wright; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard.
Burial will follow in the Dibble Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
