Donald LeRoy Taylor, 76, of Dibble, died Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at his home. The son of Odis Glen Taylor and Edna Marie (Callahan) Taylor, he was born February 2, 1943 in Apache, Oklahoma.
He worked in construction and as a farmer for many years and retired from Pioneer Telephone Company. Don was a member of the Word of Life Ministries in Dibble. He owned and operated D&G Farms for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and drinking coffee on the back porch. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and teasing his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Genell Taylor; his second wife, LaJuan Taylor; a grandson, Ricky Don Scott; one sister, Marie Evans; and two brothers, Dale Taylor and Odis Taylor.
Don is survived by his four daughters, Sissy Scott and her husband, Rick, of Sentinel, Pete Testerman and her husband, Paul, of Dibble, Carole Perkey and her husband, Justin, of Blanchard, and Janese Williams and her husband, Corey, of Blanchard; four sons, Roy Taylor and his wife, Debra, of Dibble, James Taylor and his wife, Leslie, of Dibble, Frank Clark and his wife, Jeanice, of Dibble, and Bobby Tarwater and his wife, Kristi, of Dibble; thirty seven grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Verdia Strickland and her husband, Roy, of Apache and Paula Bare and her husband, Verl, of Binger; one sister-in-law, Pearl Taylor of Oney; and many other loved ones and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, August 23, 2019, at the funeral home. A Celebration of Don's Life will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 24, 2019, at the Word of Life Ministries in Dibble.
Burial will follow in the Dibble Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
