at the Capitol Hill Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in
Dibble
Cemetery .
Vergie Alzina Tannehill was born March 11, 1909 to John & MeLinda True
in Alex, Oklahoma and died Oct. 30, 1998 in Oklahoma City after a long illness
at the age of 89 after a long illness.
Vergie was married in 1926 to Windell T. Tannehill and they were together 61
years. They had eight children from their marriage; sons, Jimmy & Inez Tannehill
of Houston, TX, J.A. & Yvonne Tannehill of Bakersfield, CA, Troy & Alice
Tannehill of OKC, Luie & Mable June Tannehill of
Dibble ; daughter, Madeline & Henry Allen of OKC; sons, Billy Rae & Carol
Tannehill of MWC, LeRoy Tannehill of Del City; daughter, Linda & Burley Gentry
of Bakersfield, CA; 38 grandchildren; multiple great grandchildren & great-great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Windell Tannehill & two sons, Jimmy & Troy Tannehill.
