Janet Marie Rousey, 65, of Moore, died Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at her home. The daughter of Robert Buford Swank and Thelma Marie (Johnson) Goins, she was born January 25, 1958, in Pittsburg, California.

Janet worked for many years in the deli at Crest Foods. In her spare time, she loved going to the casino and singing karaoke. She was a fantastic cook and her family always loved her macaroni and cheese, chicken fried steak, fried potatoes, and cherry dump cake. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Janet was very generous and would give her last dollar to help someone else in need. She loved her family and was proud that she had a child in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and the 2000s. It was also noteworthy that she became a mother and a grandmother on the same day. She gave birth to her youngest son on the same day one of her grandchildren was born. Janet was fun-loving and was always the “life of the party.” Her passing will leave a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Bruce Thacker and Keith Swank.

Janet is survived by two daughters, Tasha Johnson and husband, James, of Norman, and Brandi Bishop and husband, Ralph, of Oklahoma City; two sons, Brandon Weingartner and wife, Melissa, of Deer Creek, and Chris Rousey of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Jordan, Kylie, Madisyn, Alyssa, Jaxon, Peyton, and Elena; her first love and the father of her children, Darren Weingartner of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Diane Martin of Virginia, Laura Yeager and husband, Scott, of Newcastle, and Alisa Gray and husband, Billy, of Oklahoma City; one brother, James Goins and wife, Tamara, of Cole; lifelong friend, Dale Phillips of Oklahoma City; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Dibble Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
