James Carl “Jim” Rogers, 65, of Blanchard, died Friday, January 24, 2014 at his home. The son of Carl Novel and Edna Imogene (Elliott) Rogers, he was born November 25, 1948 in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Jim married Beverly “Susan” Goad on October 16, 1975 in Oklahoma City. He worked as a supervisor and retired from Tinker Air Force Base after many years of service. Jim was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Tuttle Masonic Lodge and was a member of the American Legion. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed fishing and hunting, and spending time with his family. Jim especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing, teasing, and reading them stories.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Cathy Rogers.
Jim is survived by his wife, Beverly “Susan” Rogers of Blanchard; two daughters, Catherine Gabriel and husband, Xavier, of Oklahoma City, and Laura Rogers of Blanchard; five grandchildren, Cameron Stolhand, Anna Gabriel, Christian Gabriel, Octayvia Gabriel, and Izabella Gabriel; one brother, Douglas Rogers and wife, Connie, of Blanchard; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard.
Interment will follow in the Dibble Cemetery in Dibble. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
