Esther Bell Keeler, 87, of Dibble, died Monday, March 18, 2019 at her home. The daughter of James Earl Elam and Clara Laura (Moore) Elam, she was born October 13, 1931 in Blanchard, Oklahoma.
She married Douglas Ray “Pug” Keeler on June 5, 1948, in Dibble. They enjoyed 64 wonderful years of marriage. Esther was a great cook and baked the best cobblers and desserts. She enjoyed working together with her husband on their dairy farm, fishing, and gardening. Esther loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Douglas “Pug” Keeler; granddaughter, Misty Keeler; and two sisters, Mary Talley and Earline Sharp.
Esther is survived by one daughter, Linda Anderson of Dibble; two sons, Larry Keeler of Blanchard and Joe Keeler and his wife, Connie, of Dibble; eight grandchildren, Terry Keeler and his wife, Lisa, of Claremore, Tammy Penick and her husband, J.P., of Claremore, Catina Anderson of Norman, Matt Keeler and his wife, Jennifer, of Washington, Doug Keeler and his wife, Paige, of Washington, Derik Keith and his wife, Crystal, of Dibble; Ryan Keeler and his wife, Sholeh, of Blanchard, and Kyle Keeler and his wife, April, of Dibble; eighteen great-grandchildren; and many other loved ones and friends.
The family would like to thank Esther’s caregivers, Clarine Thompson, Marilyn McKenna, and Leanna Ott, for their wonderful care and compassion.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Dibble Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Dibble Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
