Hollie William Humphrey, Jr., 68, of Dibble, died, Thursday, August 6, 2020, in Oklahoma City. The son of Melvin Vanderhoff and Lottie Lucille (Rash) Vanderhoff, he was born August 2, 1952 in Hart, Michigan.
Hollie married Betty Ruth Alexander on September 22, 1977 in Divide, Oklahoma. He worked for many years as a diesel mechanic. Hollie served in the US Air Force from 1971 to 1975 and was a member of the Hope Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Chickasha. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, welding, tinkering with things, and working with his tractor around his property. Hollie loved to eat sweets. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, teaching them new things. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Brantley Jacobs.
Hollie is survived by his wife, Betty Humphrey, of Dibble; two daughters, Connie Plamp of Michigan, and Mary Humphrey of Dibble; three sons, Mark Smith and his wife, Kerry, of Michigan, Brady Humphrey and his wife, Haleigh, of Blanchard; and Matthew Humphrey and his wife, Kimberly, of Bixby; his adopted daughter, Jeannie Humphrey of Dibble; twenty grandchildren, Spencer, Aydyn, Melody, Kendra, Bentley, Averie Don, Roy, Max, Alannah, Jaime, Jon, Mark, Jr., Tyler Allen, Logan, Travis, Tasha, Tatiana, Tyler Ray, Kenzie, and Braydon; three great grandchildren, Jed, Oria, and Zaylen; four sisters, Elizabeth Owen of Edmond, Loretta Trevino and her husband, Joel, of Utah, Janice Humphrey of Michigan, and Diane Humphrey of Michigan; four brothers, Melvin Vanderhoff and his wife, Wanda, of Colorado, Earl Vanderhoff and his wife, Sharon, of Rhode Island, Steve Vanderhoff and his wife, Rose, of Michigan, and Danny Humphrey of Michigan; and many other loved ones and friends.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 10, 2020, at the Dibble Cemetery in Dibble, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
