Lillie C. Powell died at her home last Friday, October 11. She was 86 years old. She was a resident of Byars since 1927.

She was born in Clebourne county, Arkansas. She was married to W.E. Powell and was a member of the Byars Methodist church.

She is survived by four sons, Grady of Midwest City, J.B. of Phoenix, Arizona, Henry of Purcell and Bonnie of Asher; three daughters, Mrs. Effie Collins of Antioch, Calif., Mrs. Eva Sproul of Byars, and Minnie Bittle of Prim, Ark. Also 34 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Services were held on Sunday in the Byars Methodist church with Rev. Doc Haley, Thodore Loveless and Rev. Grover officiating.

Burial was in the Byars cemetery under the direction of Yoakum funeral home.
