Maudine Hankins, of Purcell, formerly of Byars, passed away August 2, 2020 in Purcell, Oklahoma at the age of 96 years
Maudine Golden was born November 8, 1923 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Roy Golden and Grace Golden-Cooksey. She was raised south of Byars and made the Byars area her home all of her life. She was a Cosmetologist and Hair Stylist. Maudine loved working her flower garden and was a former Mayor of Byars, Oklahoma and was a member of Byars Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Golden and Grace Golden Cooksey; her husband, Carl R. Hankins; a son, Keith Hankins; and a grandson, Lance Richardson
Her Surviving family include her daughter and her husband, Sherry and Ray Martin, of Byars; one son and his wife, Dennis and Virginia Hankins, of Moore; four grandchildren, Leanne Richardson, Tamara Hankins, Cristi Deeds and her husband, James, and Justin Hankins and his wife, Lisa; five great grandchildren, Ashly Deeds, Alyssa Vaughn, Kerry Deeds, Katelyn Hankins, and Ian Glindemen
Private graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 2:30 pm at the Byars Cemetery officiated by Bo Cail. Interment will be at Byars Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home
