Ben Fisher, age 69 of Wayne, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family. William Benjamin Fisher was born April 20, 1945 in Florence, AZ, the 2nd of 5 children born to William “Bud” Fisher and Margaret (McCullar) Fisher. He was raised primarily in Atoka, OK where he attended school. Ben married Bobbie Jean Taylor on December 1, 1969 in Durant. They first made their home in Atoka and later moved to Byars in 1987, where together they raised 3 daughters, Carla, Rhonda and Rebecca and their son, Harvey. Ben worked as a truck driver and pumped septic tanks all of his life. Ben loved to move around during his lifetime, and eventually settled one last time near Wayne in 2008. In his spare time he enjoyed playing his guitar and singing good old country songs. He loved being outdoors, whether fishing or hunting, and every year he looked forward to deer camp and the Fisher reunion. Ben was a family man 1st and he cherished his family. He was a loving husband and father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a good friend. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by: His parents, Bud Fisher and Margaret Fisher; His brothers, John Floyd Fisher, Walter Fisher and Jay Fisher.

Ben leaves behind: His wife, Bobbie of the home; His daughters, Carla Fisher, Rhonda Fisher and Rebecca Mantooth, all of Wayne; His son, Harvey Fisher and wife Laura of Wayne; Sister, Ruby Shown and husband James of Antlers; 2 brothers, Jim Fisher and wife Drunell of Asher, and Leroy Fisher and wife Glenda of Byars; 5 grandchildren, Braden Mantooth, Dawson Mantooth, Maddox Mantooth, Mckenzie Fisher and Ben Fisher; Several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Byars Cemetery under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home.
