Miss Mamie Bostick, sister of Mrs. T.H. Newbern, who has been rapidly declining in heath for about four months, departed this life Tuesday, March the 17, 1914, about seven o'clock p.m. at the T.H. Newbern home in Purcell.
The corpse was taken to Byars on the noon train Wednesday for burial, accompanied by the family, Rev. J.D. Hester, pastor of the Presbyterian church, and a number of friends. They were met at Byars by a number of their fiends of that community who accompanied them to the cemetery where burial services were held, conducted by Rev. Hester.
The deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church and had been since girlhood.
She was thoroughly reconciled to death, and this fact was a source of comfort to her relatives and friends.
She leaves a mother, three sisters, four brothers and many friends to mourn her loss.
The News extends sincere condolence to the grief stricken family.
