Funeral services for Jerry Bayless, of Byars, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015 at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Byars, officiated by the Rev. Frank Trent. Burial followed at Byars Cemetery in Byars. Services were under the direction of DeArman Pickard Funeral Home of Stratford.
Jerry Paul Bayless was born Dec. 16, 1957, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, to Margaret Ann (Dill) and Harold Roscoe Bayless and passed away west of Ada on Aug. 6, 2015, at the age of 57.
He worked for many years for Boeing Aircraft and later for Dart Container Corp., where he was employed at the time of his death. On June 23, 2014, he married Vickie Rae Berry in Purcell.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Danny Bayless, and a sister, Helen Ames.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Bayless Jr. of Germany; a daughter, Michelle Bayless of Wichita, Kansas; six brothers, Harold J. Bayless, Maxel Bayless, Billy Bayless, Virgil Bayless, Dale Bayless and Cloys Bayless; four sisters, Gladys Wilmoth, Edra Wiley, Marilyn Vaughan and Carolyn Blackfox; and one grandchild.
