Barbara worked as a system analyst at Tinker Air Force Base and retired after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, reading mystery novels, and watching scary movies. When she was able, she enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. Barbara loved collecting things and had an extensive collection of windchimes, elephants, bears, and various other things.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Harley Wiyninger of Blanchard; one daughter, Charlene Jones and husband, Jerrell, of Oklahoma City; three sons, Kenneth Ashworth and wife, Donna, of Colorado, Marc Ashworth of McLoud, and Edward Ashworth of North Carolina; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Carolyn Herrick of California; three brothers, Rich Brockmann of California, Ed Brockmann of McLoud, and J.J. Joseph of California; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 Pm, Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made in Barbara’s name to the Colon Cancer Research Foundation at www.coloncancerfoundation.org.
