Mary (Fagan) Wilson, 94, of Blanchard, died Sunday, March 25, 2018, in Chickasha. The daughter of John T. Fagan and Ivra Pearl (Bloomer) Fagan, she was born April 2, 1923 in Brady, Oklahoma.
Mary married the love of her life, George Edward “Ed” Wilson, on October 15, 1938, in Purcell, Oklahoma. She worked as a clerk for the US Postal Service and retired after many years of service. Mary was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Blanchard. She was an excellent cook and her specialty was fried squirrel with gravy and biscuits. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, and listening to audio books. Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother, and an adoring grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ed Wilson; one son, George Wilson; her half-brother, Ezra Carpenter; and her half-sister, Bonnie Sparks.
She is survived by her three daughters, Carole Caldwell and her husband, Paul, of Blanchard, Judy Lynn and her husband, Frank, of Blanchard, and Marlana Ashford and her husband, Pate, of Dibble; two sons, Kenneth Wilson and his wife, Patty, of Blanchard and Ronnie Wilson and his wife, Janet, of Blanchard; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; special friends, John and Trisha Sharp, Megan Sturgell, and Robin Clanton; good friends and neighbors, Pete and Doyce Foster; and many other loved ones and friends.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
