Darrell Lynn Williams, age 73 of Purcell, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 at his home.

Darrell Lynn Williams was born March 15, 1940 in Dibble, 1 of 5 children born to Farrell and Gladys Williams. He was raised in the Blanchard and Dibble area and attended Dibble Schools, graduating in 1958. After high school, Darrell attended the University of Oklahoma for a couple of years. Darrell married Carolyn Willean Henagar on September 17, 1979, in Gainsville, TX. Together they raised 2 children, son Gary and daughter Sandra. Darrell worked as a self-employed carpenter for many years, building many homes in the Blanchard area. Darrell loved horses and spent several years raising quarter horses. Years later, he spent more than 17 years working as a carpenter for the University of Oklahoma. Much of Darrell’s woodwork can still be seen on campus at the University of Oklahoma Library today. Darrell retired from OU and become a full time farmer. He returned home to work on the farm, just tinkering on things and raising cattle, and never missed an opportunity to go fishing. Darrell cherished his family and for the past 5 years, has been a member of the Iron Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by: His parents, Farrell and Gladys Williams; His son, Gary Henagar and His sister, Doris Odom and her husband Lynn.

Darrell leaves behind: His wife, Carolyn, of the home; Daughter, Sandra Price and husband Ricky of Blanchard, OK; Grandchildren, Russell Price and wife Hillary of Lexington and Sherri Price of Blanchard; Great grandchildren, Brooke Lynn Carter of Norman and Gamble Lynn Price of Blanchard; Brother-in-law, Michael Dean Davenport and wife Marci of Dibble and A host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Iron Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Dibble.

Carolyn Willean Williams, age 79 of Purcell, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021.

Carolyn was born August 17, 1941 in Purcell, OK, to Hershel W. Farrow and Vera Ethel Lee (Harper) Farrow. Carolyn was raised in Purcell and attended Purcell schools, graduating with the Dragon Class of 1958. On September 17, 1979, Carolyn and a young man from Dibble named Darrell Lynn Williams, crossed the border and were married in Gainesville, Texas. Carolyn was a hard worker and you could say a “Jill of all trades”. She worked with upholstery and enjoyed restoring and recrafting. She worked side by side with Darrell on the farm. She could drive a tractor and stack hay, or whatever needed to be done. She enjoyed tending to her garden and was known for redecorating without anyone knowing. Carolyn loved to fish and she spent every moment she could on a beach. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, full of life and full of wisdom. She will be greatly missed!

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Darrell Williams; son, Gary Henagar; her parents, Hershel and Vera Farrow and two siblings, Marsha Largent and Curt Farrow.

Carolyn is survived by: her daughter, Sandra Price and husband Ricky of Blanchard; Brother, Michael Davenport and wife Marci of Dibble; two grandchildren, Russell Price of Piedmont and Sherri Price of Blanchard; great grandchildren, Brooke Lynn Carter, Gamble Lynn Price and Tray Johnson and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 18, 2021, at Little’s Chapel, Wilson-Little ~ Purcell. Burial will follow at the Blanchard Cemetery. Send online condolences @ www.wilsonlittle.com.
