Rick Eugene Tucker age 49 of Newcastle passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, August 19, 2016.
He was born March 15, 1967 in Oklahoma City. His was the oldest of two children born to Manford Eugene Tucker and Carla Joyce Ferguson. Rick grew up in Newcastle and graduated from Newcastle High School with the class of 1985. While in high school, Rick played football, baseball and wrestled. He was the prom king his senior year and a photographer on the yearbook committee. After high school, Rick got his feet wet in the car business by going to work as a car salesman for a Hyundi dealership in Norman. This job led to his life long career in the automotive business. For the past 27 years he has worked for Knipplemier Chevrolet in Blanchard where he was the Finance Manager. Rick loved being outdoors and in his spare time he and his family enjoyed boating, camping and fishing. He especially loved Bass fishing at Lake Arbuckle and Stripper fishing at Lake Texoma. He also was an avid University of Oklahoma sports fan. On April 15, 2010, Rick married the love of his life, Laurie Ann Hebblewaite-Burt. For the past six years, two families have become one happy, loving and caring family. Rick loved his family and always enjoyed time with them. He also considered the Knipplemier Chevrolet auto team as part of his extended family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by: Grandparents, Carl and Lucille Ferguson, C. R. and Minnie Rae Tucker.
He is survived by: Wife, Laurie Tucker of the home in Newcastle, Three children, Josh Tucker of Norman, Kayla Tucker of OKC, Nick Burt of Houston, TX. One grandchild, Karma Natalie Rae Tucker of OKC. Parents, Carla and Norman Ferguson of Newcastle, Manford Tucker of Newcastle. Sister, Janis Forbes and husband Ronnie of Newcastle. Several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and many cousins.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle. Interment will be at Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle.
