Frances Mignon Truax, 82, of Blanchard, died Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at her home. The daughter of Sherman Austin Dallas Hachtel and Helen Lucille (Freeland) Hachtel, she was born July 9, 1937 in Bowie, Texas.
 

Frances married Jackie Lee Truax on September 1, 1954, in Bowie, Texas. She worked as an electrical engineer for Lucent Technologies and retired after 33 years of service. Frances was Christian in faith. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and raising chickens. She was a good cook and her specialty was fried chicken, banana pudding, and turkey and dressing. Frances’ greatest enjoyment was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents who raised her, Karl and Hester Hachtel; her husband, Jackie Truax; two sisters, Sherma Sue Hachtel and Augusta Hachtel; and two sons-in-law, Monte Davis and Chris Ellis.
 

She is survived by four daughters, Linda Ellis of Blanchard, Lisa Creech and her husband, Don, of Bridge Creek, Pat Smith of Blanchard, and Amy Davis of Blanchard; one son-in-law, Guy Smith of Tuttle; seven grandchildren, Jason Ellis of Blanchard, John Parker of Oklahoma City, Jason Creech and his wife, Denise, of Midwest City, Haley Pauley and her husband, Eddie, of Bridge Creek, Torri Smith and Shannon Jackson of Tuttle, Dusty Allen and his wife, Katie, of Blanchard, Cody Allen and his wife, YaYa, of Newcastle; twelve great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one sister, Carol Brown and her husband, Gene, of Texas; two brothers, Butch Whitaker and his wife, Ruth, of Texas and Cowboy Hachtel of Montana; one brother-in-law, Gene Truax of Texas; and many other loved ones and friends.
 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, December 15, 2019, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard.

Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
