Venson was a veteran of the US Army and attended St. James Catholic Church. He married Laura Mae Daniels on June 18, 1970 in Amarillo, Texas. Venson worked as a packaging specialist for the FAA for over 30 years until his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards and dominoes, going to the lake, and watching OU sports and the OKC Thunder basketball team. Venson loved spending time with his wife and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Diana Troutt; and a brother, Bill Troutt.
Venson is survived by his wife of 43 years, Laura Troutt of Oklahoma City; four daughters, Kathy Day and husband, Mike, of Edmond, Ann Copeland of Florida, Dorothy Ward and husband, Howard, of Oklahoma City, and Linda Staats and husband, Luke, of Oklahoma City; three sons, Mike Eustice of Oklahoma City, Tommy Eustice of Wyoming, and Danny Eustice of Oklahoma City; twenty grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; his sister, Jorene Hughes of Blanchard; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Interment will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. The family would like to especially thank Chaplain Jeremy Smith with Autumn Bridge Hospice.
