David Leslie “Les” Stotler, 74, of Newcastle, died Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Oklahoma City. The son of Burton Alvin Stotler and Foy Ruth (Jackson) Stotler, he was born June 16, 1941 in Sparks, Oklahoma.

Les married Katherine Joyce Poffinbarger Durham on May 20, 1961 at the Naval Air Station in Brunswick, Maine. Les served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1965 and flew during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He then served in the Oklahoma Air National Guard from 1976 to 1998 and was deployed during Operation Desert Shield. He was Catholic in faith and was a charter member of Oklahoma Dirt Riders Motorcycle Club and a member of the Oklahoma City Woodcarvers. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, woodcarving, and riding motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Maxine Carpenter.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joyce Stotler, of Newcastle; two daughters, Barbara Dobbins and her husband, Derek, of Amber and Susan McClintick and her husband, Shawn, of Oklahoma City; two sons, David Stotler, Jr. of Oklahoma City and Thomas Stotler of Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Amanda Rich of Florida, Keith Stotler of Tennessee, Katie Stotler of Tennessee, Andrew McClintick of Oklahoma City, Johnathan McClintick of Oklahoma City, Ashley McClintick of Oklahoma City, and Jalina McClintick of Oklahoma City; one great grandson, Michael Rich, of Florida; three sisters, Sharon Stotler of Prague, Evelyn Hubbard of Indiana, and Brenda Cooper and her husband, Mike, of Missouri; two brothers, Gary Stotler and his wife, Becky, of Choctaw and Dennis Stotler and his wife, Christi, of Prague; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.

Graveside service and burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the Blanchard Cemetery in Blanchard, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.comm.
