Ronnie Dale Selby, 63, of Norman, died Saturday, September 30, 2017, at his home. The son of Donald Everett Selby and Helen Bernice (Myers) Selby, he was born November 7, 1953, in Blanchard, Oklahoma.
Ronnie was a U.S. Army veteran and worked as a custodian for the Postal Training Center in Norman for several years. He was a Pentecostal in faith. He married Dianna Kay Hastings on April 11, 1997 in Norman, Oklahoma. In his spare time, Ronnie enjoyed fishing, drawing, and watching movies, especially John Wayne movies and westerns. He was a big fan of Elvis Presley and enjoyed listening to his music. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Selby, and a sister, Karen McGuire.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 20 years, Dianna Selby of Norman; his mother, Helen Selby of Blanchard; one daughter, Melinda Childress of Norman; three sons, Michael Lee Coffey and his fiancée, Alicia Owens, of Newalla, Roy Don Coffey of Norman, and Shawn Dale Selby of Dibble; five grandchildren, Andi Coffey, Jacoby Coffey, John Coffey, Christina Childress, and Jerry Childress; his former wife and the mother of his children, Mary Lamarand of Lexington; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 5, 2017, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard.
Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
