Ova Robinson, age 92 of Newcastle, entered Heaven’s Gates on January 2, 2024.
Ova Evelyn Roberts was born March 12, 1931 in Glendale, OK to Charlie and Sallie Mae (Bradford) Roberts.
She married young, to Denver Clifton Robinson, on January 3, 1946, and they began a beautiful life together. They first made their home in Okla. City where they welcomed their children, son Gerald and daughter Edith.
Ova worked for Oklahoma City Public Schools at both Foster Elementary School and Arthur Elementary School for many years. She genuinely enjoyed her work and just being around the kids.
By 1981, the Robinson family settled in Newcastle. Ova was a faithful member of the Newcastle First Baptist Church and served in many capacities throughout the years. She stayed active in retirement coordinating activities for the Senior Adults in the church. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed quilting and she shared her many talents with her family and friends. She loved tending to her garden, never missed an opportunity to visit someone on the phone and she truly looked forward to seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and participating in their various activities. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister, aunt and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Denver C. Robinson; her parents, Charlie and Sallie Mae Roberts and her sister, Elsie Lemmons.
Ova is survived by: her son Gerald Robinson and wife Jo Alice of Yukon; her daughter Edith Sanders and husband Dennis of Newcastle; Brother, Ben Lord of Springfield, MO; 5 grandchildren Shanin Sayers (Don), Jerry Robinson (Ashley), Mark Sanders (April), Tonya Walker (Chad) and Christy Pine (Sean); 15 great grandchildren, Ashlyn (Garrett), Morgan (Colin), Alexis (Andrew), Courtney (Daytona), Allison (Paxton), Austyn, Blake (Kenzie), Camden, Beau, Brett, Brooks, Tim, Keaton, Reese and Drew; 4 great great grandchildren, Gracie, Taylor, Lettie and Abbott; many nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 5, 2024, at Newcastle First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Blanchard Cemetery. www.wilsonlittle.com.

Denver C. Robinson, age 81, of Newcastle, OK, passed away Monday, April 7, 2008 in his home.
Denver was born Feb. 1, 1927 in Le Flore County, OK to George and Minnie Bett (Wooten) Robinson.
Denver served his country proudly during WWII.
He married Ova Roberts in January, 1946. After the Army, he and Ova moved to Oklahoma City where he began a career working for the City of Oklahoma City in 1954. He worked in many capacities including Supervisor in the Water Department before retiring in 1986. They moved to Newcastle in 1981.
He is survived by his wife of more than 62 years, Ova of the home son, Gerald Robinson and wife Jo Alice, Yukon, OK daughter, Edith Sanders and husband Dennis, Newcastle, Oklahoma brother, Harmon Robinson,Wister, OK 4 sisters, Marcella Williams and husband Elmer, Cricket Fralin and husband Bruce and Ruby Jones and husband Tom, all of Tulsa, Verlene Seaborn and husband Joe of Wister, OK sister-in-law, Nathadean Robinson of Wister, OK 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at the First Baptist Church in Newcastle. Burial will follow at the Blanchard Cemetery, under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home, Newcastle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Living The Vision Fund at First Baptist Church of Newcastle.
