Troy Franklin Riddle, 86, of Blanchard, died Thursday, April 3, 2014 in Norman, Oklahoma. The son of John Franklin Riddle and Emma (Dutton) Riddle, he was born May 9, 1927 in Cox City, Oklahoma.


He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Troy married Irma Sue Clay on September 16, 1951 in Poteau, Oklahoma. Troy worked as a maintenance supervisor at both Will Rogers and Wiley Post Airports for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Knob Hill Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, building things, and playing golf.


He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debra Sue Mudd; and great granddaughter, Madison Lee Ann Arnold.


Troy is survived by his wife, Sue Riddle, of Blanchard; his son, Keith Riddle and his wife, Debi, of Yukon; his daughter, Rhonda Townsend and her husband, Tonie, of Blanchard; his eight grandchildren, Erica Mudd of Kansas, Conner Mudd of Kansas, Cortni Scagnetti of Oklahoma City, Katrina Arnold and her husband, Andrew, of Oklahoma City, Michael Troy Smith of Blanchard, Matt Conner and his wife, Victoria, of Alaska, Curtis Conner and his wife, Cristine, of South Dakota, and Melanie Waller of Oklahoma City; his three great grandchildren, Cadence Scagnetti, Payton Scagnetti, and Raylan Arnold; his brother, Melvin Cowden and his wife, Glenda, of Lindsay; his sisters, Ellen Turner of Lindsay and Audry Yandell and her husband, J.W., of Lindsay; and many other loved ones and friends.


Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 7, 2014 at Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.
