Raymond T. Richey, 95, of Downey, California, died Sunday, May 5, 2019, in Cerritos, California. The son of Eugene Richey and Grace Ellen (Swanson) Richey, he was born August 15, 1923, in Blanchard, Oklahoma.

Raymond was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the South Pacific during World War II. He married his high school sweetheart, Margie Ann Watson on December 8, 1944. Raymond got his real estate broker's license and worked alongside his wife, operating two Red Carpet Richey Real Estate Offices in Downey, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Richey; his wife of over 70 years, Margie Richey; and four brothers, Purman Richey, Shi Richey , Leroy Richey, and Jack Richey.

He is survived by one son, Brian Richey; one sister, Fern Dennis; three brothers, Bill Richey, Carl Richey, and A.B. Richey; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard.

Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
